Random titbit: I watched "Love Actually" again, like for the 5th time or something now. And I still can't get enough... of Rodrigo Santoro (!!!!), Keira Knightley, the very sweet guy with the cards at Juliet's doorstep (whatever his name is), All I Want For Christmas Is You, and the poor Colin Firth who went through so much trouble learning Portuguese only to find out that Aurelia learnt English for him too :> Brings tears to my eyes every single time.

Done with exams 2 days ago on Wednesday - nothing much to comment here, just hoping for the best with fingers crossed... though it surely feels unreal to be suddenly relieved of all that slogging and mugging.

I am supposed to be packing now but guess what, I am so NOT doing so. Leaving on a jetplane in approximately 23 hours for Singapore, where I know I am going to roll my eyes ten times a day again... (at what?! you go figure ;p). Not looking forward to the humid weather, the ever-so-annoying public transport system, random people (hence termed as "friends") asking me out 2 days before I fly back to Melbourne, the nagging, the pretence, the politics. I have apparently grown to love being here, after 18 days of solitude.

I suppose meeting up with the people who matter will neutralise things a little. Just a little bit -_-

And HJ: Never worry, never fear. Wait for me to return to Melbourne on the 25th!!

Anyhow, nice gathering at Gunther's place earlier on - the food, the company, the photos ;> Wish you guys were there with us, Piggy and Nat.

Okay, I was watching NCIS (fab new crime drama series ^_^) on TV a few minutes ago, and during one of the commercial breaks, the ad for the Eagles Farewell Concert came on again.

Apparently, they ARE performing in Melbourne after all - on the 14th of November. In such a dilemma now, because:

1) The cheapest (yes, the CHEAPEST) ticket is priced at $94.60 (???!!!). Just for the curious ones who are interested to know, the most expensive is $558.30 (well, its the EAGLES after all)

2) 14th November is exam period - will probably be mugging for assignment/exam on 15th? Uhm... worst case scenario -_-

3) Will anyone be crazy enough to watch them with me? (Pssst... fellow Eagles enthusiasts *ahem ahem* Piggy and Nat?)

I am no huge Eagles fan BUT, I just want to hear them sing "Hotel California" live - just once - and I shall die with no regrets.

The Eagles (!!!) are coming to Australia for a one-night-only concert. It got me really really excited, until I looked up on the net where they were holding it at.

PERTH -_- On the 11th of November.

Of all states in Australia?!?

Sing to whom? The cows and farmers?!?

Let's hope they have a change of plans soon.

I am going to watch "The Day After Tomorrow" with the gang later in the day (Destress, destress!). Heard it garnered pretty good reviews and stuff. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be just another natural disaster flick. Recall Twister, Dante's Peak, Volcano, Earthquake. Good thing Harry Potter 3 just opened today (yes, slow slow) so I don't think we'll have much competition when it comes to getting good seats, but the cinema area is going to be so, so packed... like that time when we caught Troy -_-

Recently hooked to watching Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. Long study break.

Random blabber: Ronald Reagan passed away on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm at the age of 93. Thank you for your existence Mr President, so I could have one extra paragraph to write about you in my USA Today essay last year.

After slogging through the whole of last Thursday night and Friday morning, I finally completed my 1777-word History essay at 2pm on Friday itself (with a 2 hour McDonald's brekky break with Piggy and CaLi! see pic below) and almost risked not being able to hand it in at 5 because I FELL ASLEEP at 2.45pm without setting an alarm! CaLi, who had a paper due at 5 as well, called me like crazy to wake me up to go to uni together but my phone was charging in the living room so I couldn't hear!!!! She had no choice but to tram all the way to my place to check on me... see if I was already dead or something ;p

To cut a long story short, I finally woke up to the faint sounds of my phone ringing, and to my HORROR, CaLi told me it was already 4.05 pm. PANIC. So I rushed downstairs in like 3 minutes. Made it in the end... we both made it at about 4.45!

Seriously man! If she hadn't called me like mad I wouldn't have made it on time... then I would have KILLED myself for not waking up and handing in 3 days late, which means a deduction of 6 percent.

Thank you CaLi, I owe you big, big time :) Hope you have a nice long holiday back home, and eat Mos Burger for me!!! :^) (Haha)

So! Friday night was a breeze. Had dinner with GS, went home to catch Miss Universe 2004 (Aussie won!), then slacked like crazy over the weekend with "Supersize Me" - the film about McDonald's, grocery shopping, dinner outings, etc. The best thing was that Blob is now back in Singapore so I have the whole house to myself till the time I go back, and errm... a reduction in the amount of germs at home, too.

Now it's back to business. Again, I have a 1500-word essay due in approximately 36 hours... (does a word count) okay, 264 at the moment. Sigh. It's going to be a long and dreary morning.
