Raffles Class ecstasy.
After 21 fun-filled sometimes-sunny-sometimes-wintry days in Melbourne, I am finally back in Singapore, back to reality, back at work and possibly ONE (just one!) kilogram heavier, which I intend to shed in the next week or so, in consideration of the fact that I have two weddings to attend in December. A girl has to look nice and good in wedding photos, even if they aren't of HER own wedding right?
And apart from the three happy weeks in Melbourne itself, the highlight of my holiday was flying Raffles Class to and fro for free, thanks to the UOB-SIA partnership, haha! I very rarely get to travel on Raffles, so it was (still) a very eye-opening experience. Being addressed as 'Miss Seah' (:p), four delicious gourmet items on the menu for me to choose from (with high class white table cloth, to-die-for dessert AND wine!!!!!), beverage refills every five minutes, free newspapers and magazines, and oh my god that famous reclining seat!!! And do not get me started on the airline lounge for First and Raffles passengers - free food, drinks and internet! I heart and I love. I was just telling Piggy, who has been spoilt rotten by First Class on SIA, that if I can be so happy even on Raffles Class, how would I feel on First???!!!!!!
Hmm... this is making me regret not taking photos of my plane meals. :( I must have been too distracted by the food... but I ate so bloody much on the flight that I felt super sick and bloated after and swore never to eat Thai curry and spaghetti Carbonara ever again (which by now, is a lie, of course). And now that I've rediscovered the goodness of being pampered on Raffles Class, how am I ever going to be genuinely happy flying Economy again? :p
Okay, back to work.
"After he left, I cried for a week. And then I realised I do have faith - faith in myself. Faith that I would one day meet someone, who would be sure that I was the one." - Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City Season 1 Episode 12
