Had an absolutely lonely day in school because Piggy, mm, and even Kenn all do not have school on Fridays. Arrgghhhh.
But I kind of like it though. Friday is a day when I really want time to myself... think about stuff, explore the campus, plan my weekend... etc. The only bad thing about Fridays is... I start with a lecture from 11-12 (which is totally pissed boring because the lecturer is from Inner Mongolia and his English is just plain bad), then have this whole vacuum from 12 all the way till 3.15 (sighhh). Then I end at 4.15 and finally I can go home. BoRRRRRRiiiiNNg Friday you tell me. I feel like changing that 3.15 tutorial to some other day though. I can't believe I have to wait 3 hours for a tute on Friday!!!!

I am soooooo happy they're having Australian Idol here... I never got enough of American Idol when they showed it back home. Well although the contestants may not be as good as Clay *beams* (or maybe that person just hasn't showed up yet) it's still very much worth watching! And this time I get to vote (yay)!

On a heavier note though, I lost out in my application for the pretty apartment along Russell Street. Turned out that the landlord assigned that apartment to a few real estate agents, who valued it at different prices. The agent whom I looked for happened to value it at $1646 per month, whereas other agents had it at a much higher price. So... although it was I who was initially given the green light (and that made me happy for 2 days), many other applicants after me handed in their applications to the other agents (who valued the place at a higher price) and the owner obviously rejected me after that. Sob!! I really really liked that place!! It has a terrific city view!!! So now I am officially homeless for awhile. But my agent was really kind though - she told me she'd help me get another nice place at a good price :>

Almost forgot that tomorrow is National Day until Jo told me why he's home on a Friday afternoon. It may seem quite funny that I'm saying this but I somehow miss watching those "We are Singapore", "Count on me Singapore" and "Stand up for Singapore" music clips... where the whole Singapore population seems really united and friendly with the other races and stuff. Ha ha. What a false front :p Missed out on last year's parade and it's the same this year too. And the next. And the next. You people back home do keep me updated on the new National songs ya? I heard it was Stef Sun who's singing the main theme this year... again :>

Latest news is that Amrozi (who is responsible for the Bali bombings last year) will be facing death row - a firing squad to be exact. Hmm I don't know really. His smile is really really creepy... have you all seen that?! He was smiling and giving the thumbs-up when the verdict was announced (??!!). Somehow makes me think that death is really what he wants. And by giving him the death penalty he's just getting what he wants because he has been guaranteed a place in Heaven with... uh... Allah?! Because he is considered a "matyr" now?? Strangely enough though, his lawyer is going to file an appeal for him.

Tomorrow Never Dies showing on telly tomorrow night. I missed that last time so I have to catch it this time. Remember, Piggy :p
