If looks could kill.
Piggy says I attract a certain category of the opposite sex. It is shocking I know, especially since I am someone who doesn't give a damn about dressing up, cosmetics and whatever girlie-sweety stuff to look good. Additionally, being on the chubby side (as well as vertically challenged) doesn't get me alot of male attention (in Singapore and Melbourne at least). Going back to Piggy's statement... I guess I wouldn't deny the truth of what she said, but then again this certain category of men isn't quite one that I'd be proud to uh... "attract", to be very honest with you. I shall briefly provide some information to illustrate my point.
On the second day of my Japan trip I was alone having breaky in one of the Tokyo hotels when the middle-aged (definitely above 50) Korean businessman at the next table (business suit complete with tie and all) expressed his liking for me in the strangest way I've ever come across - he initially thought I was Korean as well (?!) and started off the convo by greeting me "Good Morning" in Korean O_o I gave him a dazed look because I had no idea what he was saying, therefore through his inaccurate inference he thought I was Japanese and greeted me in Japanese instead (whatever...). To cut a long story short, before I left the cafe he told me that he loved me (yes, the word he used was "LURRRRRVE" - or rather, "LURB" in Korean speak -_-) and that I was "ichiban desu ne" (ha ha, trying to show off his vocab to the wrong person). I embarrassedly muttered an "arigatou" and hurried out of the cafe, very much eager to avoid any further conversation. He was, after all, above 50, overweight, and looking waaaay past his prime.
Others who fell under the same "Men-who-can-never-make-it-with-Lynn" category were, not in chronological order:
1) Married man who was ten years older
2) Friend who was (and still is) barely 160 cm in height (and I thought I was bad)
3) THE Outcast/Loner
4) The guy who was simply f*** ugly

... but I must say that my latest such encounter with the Japanese guy my age (finally!) was, although somewhat shocking, rather pleasant and I don't see why we cannot just be friends ... for starters.
"You are getting quite the fan base in Japan!" - Hu Ells, 31 Jan 2005.
I can vaguely see a future for myself in the Nihonjin market. If all else fails, there is always nearby Korea to go to for salvation. Momma darling, get ready for a Japanese son-in-law ten years down the road! Bwahahahahahaha ;)
NB: The above post was merely an innocent attempt to describe events as they happened - it contained no shameless ego-boosting intentions whatsoever.
;p
Anyway, here are pictures from Japan...

There is a reason why I like doing silly poses.
I realise I have a major yukata obsession.
... and the lovely family who made it all possible.
