Been thinking that he chose to play an April Fools' joke on the rest of the world... sort of like to symbolise, in mockery, that life, as well as the world we live in now, is one whole big joke. Personally i dont really think its solely becos of his "emotional problems". I mean, rumours are rife on the reasons which led him to the jump, but i believe everything ties in together... the deceit, the lies and the evil that exist now. He was probably tired, and definitely drained. (In his death note he lamented that he hasn't done any bad things in life.... why is he going through all this?) Ultimately he was driven to depression, whereby he chose to take his own life by jumping 24 storeys off a hotel building in the Hong Kong CBD. Reports said that his face remained intact although he suffered serious head injuries. Uh? I don't think so. Try jumping 24 storeys and we'll know. See? All the cover-ups...

Rather than questioning the rest of the world to seek answers for his decision to end his life, we should, at the same time, try putting ourselves in his shoes. Of course, ending your life isn't the solution to your problems, but if he already chose this path, there must be reasons for doing so, and we should understand and respect that. Jumping off 24 storeys isnt't an everyday Tom and John kinda task, yanno. Most importantly, let us remember that no matter how glamorous and flawless these people may appear onscreen, they are, in reality, very much like each and every one of us - humans.

No one will ever know the true reasons for Leslie's sudden departure, but one thing is for sure - he will always be sadly missed and remembered by millions of fans all over the world. As we dry our tears and move on with life, may all the great pieces of work he left behind (as well as the beautiful memories we have of him) accompany us through the years to come.

The shining star fades, but the legend lives on.
